What is accreditation and why is it important?
Orchard Cove has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities - Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CARF-CCAC). Accreditation is a mark of quality, a sign of integrity, and a standard of comparison when evaluating retirement communities. We are extremely proud of being one of only six accredited CCRCs in Massachusetts.
CARF-CCAC accreditation is a rigorous, voluntary process involving extensive self-evaluation by the residents, retirement community staff, and board of directors, as well as an onsite review by trained CARF-CCAC surveyors. The process demands that a community meets standards of excellence in three vital areas: resident life, health and wellness; financial resources and disclosure; and governance and administration.
