Stephanie Small, Executive Director
Stephanie Small is the Executive Director of Simon C. Fireman Community in Randolph. As Executive Director, she is responsible for the overall operations and management of the community overseeing the maintenance, dietary, fitness, administrative and resident services departments and ensuring the highest quality of care to the residents. Stephanie is a social worker by training. Stephanie has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Williams College and a Master of Social Work from Simmons College of Social Work.

Mary McCarthy, Director of Community Life
Mary McCarthy is the Director of Community Life at the Simon C. Fireman Community. In this capacity she coordinates the Resident Services Program, Resident Recreation and Leisure Opportunities and Evidenced Based Programs. She also leads our collaboration with the Nursing Program at Curry College.  Mary joined HSL in 1998 as Clinical Supervisor of HRC's Recreation Therapy Department and joined the staff at Simon C. Fireman Community two years later. Mary has worked with older adults in clinical and community programs for over thirty years.

Maria McMillan, Financial Director
Maria McMillan is the Director of Finance for both Simon C. Fireman Community and Center Communities of Brookline. In this role she is responsible for all fiscal operations including budgeting, financial reporting, audit coordination, financial analysis and accounting processes.  Maria holds certifications as a Fair Housing Coordinator, Certified Professional of Occupancy and Accredited Residential Manager due to the Section 8 funding at the housing sites by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Maria has been employed by Hebrew SeniorLife for more than 13 years working at the corporate offices before coming to Housing Operations.

Laurie Pimentel, Facilities Director
Laurie Pimentel has been the Facilities Director of Simon C. Fireman Community for the past seven years. In this role, she oversees this 24/7/365 department, which is responsible for the overall upkeep, maintenance, snow removal and security. As Facilities Director she supervises the maintenance team in preparation of all state, local and federal inspections.  Laurie attended Stonehill College majoring in financial accounting and criminal justice. After college Laurie had a career as a police officer for 11 years and then became involved in the construction trade where she owned and operated a hardwood lumber company.

Eddy Lalanne, Executive Chef
Eddy Lalanne, Simon C. Fireman Community Executive Chef/Manager, is responsible for the daily operation of the Culinary department. He leads the Culinary and Dining Room team, focusing on friendly service, well prepared fresh, healthy, and nutritious kosher meals. Eddy has been in the food service industry for thirty years. After working eight years at the Hilltop Steakhouse in Braintree, Eddy joined the Simon C. Fireman Community in 1997 as the Assistant Chef. Over the past nineteen years he gained significant experience in efficiently running the kitchen and meeting the needsd of our residents. He was promoted to Executive Chef in April 2016.

Jessica Gittes, Fitness Director and Vitalize360 Coach
Jessica Gittes manages day-to-day operations of the fitness program at Simon C. Fireman Community and conducts exercise sessions and age-appropriate group exercise classes for Fireman residents. In her role as Vitalize360 Coach, she provides senior coaching, with an emphasis on goal setting and communication and works with residents to develop a Vitality Plan designed to inspire positive lifestyle changes.  Jessica has a doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University.
