The Friends of Hebrew SeniorLife (FHSL) are important leaders for Hebrew SeniorLife who promote and advance our mission. Through fundraising and service opportunities, FHSL members and volunteers enrich the lives of seniors living in Hebrew SeniorLife communities, especially long-term care residents at Hebrew Rehabilitation Center.
Members gather throughout the year for volunteering, networking, mingling, and learning about Hebrew SeniorLife news and innovations. Many FHSL members go on to serve in leadership capacities for Hebrew SeniorLife, including the Board of Directors and Trustees.

Service to Seniors
Our residents love visits from volunteers of all ages. FHSL members interact with residents and support staff at Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Boston and Dedham through a variety of volunteer opportunities.
Some volunteer opportunities through the Friends include:
- Playing weekly mahjong or card games
- Assisting with therapeutic arts projects
- Planning activities like musical performances, carnival games, or summer barbeques
- Transporting residents to activities throughout the facility
The Friends of HSL raise money to power health care, communities, research and teaching that is redefining the experience of aging. Contributions raised by the Friends support the Visionaries Fund for Hebrew SeniorLife.
Friends of HSL fundraising committees organize two major events per year: the Golf Tournament and Tribute Book Presentation in September, and Casino Night each spring. Sponsorship opportunities for both events are available to both individuals and companies.
