Maximizing Quality of Life and Care
Hebrew SeniorLife is dedicated to transforming the experience of aging.  Rooted in the heritage of honoring our elders, we believe everyone should be empowered to think, dream and achieve life goals through all phases of life. That belief drives us to provide an unparalleled combination of world-class communities, a full spectrum of health care, rigorous scientific inquiry, and teaching, all dedicated to improving the quality of life for people as they age.

Who We Are
The Friends of Hebrew SeniorLife (FHSL), formally known as the Women’s Auxiliary and the Men’s Associates, are now one united organization.  The new organization includes the same dedicated, hard-working women and men who have supported Hebrew SeniorLife for over 45 years through the two Auxiliary groups. The FHSL will promote and advance the mission of Hebrew SeniorLife while providin financial support to the Annual Fund.

Fundraising to Support Programming
The Friends of Hebrew SeniorLife, part of the Development Office, provide support to Hebrew SeniorLife's Annual Fund through its fundraising activities. The major fundraisers are the Tribute Book, Cards & Cordials and the Golf Tournament. These events solicit support from a variety of sources. In addition, special programs acknowledge tribute donations. The Gift Shop, located in the 3rd floor Lobby area of Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Roslindale, serves the residents, their families, RSU and MACU patients, and HRC staff, all while supporting the organization.

Service and Community Outreach
Enriching the lives of seniors both within Hebrew SeniorLife and throughout the community are important tenets of the FHSL. Through educational programming, special activities, and membership promotions, new individuals are introduced to the organization. The FHSL also host several events throughout the year that offer members and their families an opportunity to interact with the residents.

Leadership Development
Involvement in the FHSL occurs at many levels. It may include committee work to help plan events, hands-on volunteering with Hebrew Rehabilitation Center residents, or simply supporting other programs with participation and/or financial commitment. Board members and committee volunteers benefit from ongoing leadership development and networking while being a part of a caring community dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors everywhere.
