About Hebrew Rehabilitation Center

Hebrew SeniorLifeā€™s Nursing Home Ratings Are Among the Best in Massachusetts

How we measure success

At Hebrew Rehabilitation Center we continuously work to ensure that our residents and patients receive the highest quality of care. We monitor and analyze our services at our Massachusetts nursing home locations using a suite of industry-standard tools. In fact, John Morris, Ph.D., Director of Social and Health Policy Research of the Institute for Aging Research at Hebrew SeniorLife, was instrumental in developing the Minimum Data Set (MDS), designed to assess quality of care in nursing homes so that evaluations and ratings can be made. Today Dr. Morris continues to work both nationally and internationally to further develop quality assurance and improvement pioneer tools for nursing homes.

Ratings given to our nursing home

For the past two years our Rehabilitative Services Unit (RSU), also known as a skilled nursing facility (or SNF), has received a deficiency-free rating from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. DPH surveys nursing facilities to assess compliance with federal standards such as adequacy of staffing, quality of care, and cleanliness of facilities.

Our Medical Acute Care Unit (MACU), which provides long-term, acute care (LTAC), as well as the RSU are CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) -accredited.  Taken together, Hebrew Rehabilitation Center  has some of the highest nursing home ratings in Massachusetts. Rehabilitative Services Units, also known as skilled nursing facilities (or SNFs).
