CARF
The Recuperative Services Unit at Hebrew Rehabilitation Center is accredited by CARF (the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities).
CARF-CCAC
Orchard Cove has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities - Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CARF-CCAC). Accreditation is a mark of quality, a sign of integrity, and a standard of comparison when evaluating retirement communities. Orchard Cove is one of the six accredited CCRCs in Massachusetts.
CARF-CCAC accreditation is a rigorous voluntary process involving extensive self-evaluation by the residents, retirement community's staff, board of directors, and an onsite review by trained CARF-CCAC surveyors. The whole process demands that a community meet standards of excellence in three vital areas: resident life, health and wellness; financial resources and disclosure; and governance and administration.

Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Brigham and Women's Hospital
The Department of Medicine at Hebrew Rehabilitation Center is an academic department whose members are engaged in education and research, in addition to patient care. Most physicians in the department are members of the faculty at Harvard Medical School. Members of the department supervise a wide variety of trainees, including second-year students from Harvard Medical School. Hebrew Rehabilitation Center also serves as an important teaching site for medical residents from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
University of Massachusetts Boston
One of Hebrew SeniorLife's oldest teaching relationships is with the College of Nursing and Science at the University of Massachusetts Boston. This affiliation offers nursing students strong scientific training and a clinical experience that teaches them the very best ways to care for seniors. This affiliation enables students to study and gain an appreciation of all aspects of the aging process. Through this program, scholarships are awarded to nursing students who show a strong interest in investigating geriatric care as a focus of their nursing career.
