| Who Can Volunteer?
The Hebrew Rehabilitation Center volunteer corps includes nearly 300 individuals representing a wide range of ages and backgrounds. They range in age from 14 to 90-plus and are retirees, professionals, students, family members and others. Babies and toddlers bring much joy and laughter as "friendly visitors" through our Bubbes to Babies program. School children, participating in recreational and holiday activities, offer fun and stimulating company. And teenagers enrolled in high school internship programs or fulfilling community service requirements provide valuable assistance to staff and residents while also learning about health-care and geriatric fields. Young and old, city-dwellers and suburbanites - all are welcome!
We Make It Easy For You
Of course, people may have many obligations and commitments, and that's why we encourage you to set your own schedule. You may decide to volunteer days or evenings, an hour or two a week, or once a month - no matter how much time you give, you will make a difference!
You will receive on-the-job training and supervision ... and an opportunity to belong to a wonderful group of caring people.
