Purpose of volunteers
To provide Hebrew Rehabilitation Center with qualified volunteers and to place volunteers in an appropriate supervised department.

Policies
Prospective volunteer will be interviewed, screened and placed in appropriate setting by the Director of Volunteer Services in order to benefit HRC and to provide a satisfying experience for the volunteer.

Procedures
Application Staff of Volunteer Services will screen caller and give an overview of the volunteer program, including an explanation of current available positions.  We will offer to send a brochure and application or applicant can access an application from HSL Web site, or set up a meeting with Director of Volunteer Services.

Interviews:  The Director of Volunteer Services will privately interview the applicant to assess interests, abilities, needs, and availability and describe available positions, start-up procedures, training requirements, and schedule.  The Director will present an overview of HSL and HRC.

Where applicable, the prospective department supervisor will also interview the candidate.
Director of Volunteer Services will need to finalize the placement.
