Assisted Living Respite Stays

The Assisted Living community at NewBridge on the Charles offers fully furnished respite apartments for a short-term or temporary visit with a two-week minimum stay. Respite stays are ideal when considering full-time residency at NewBridge, allowing a potential resident to fully experience the unique culture and energy  of NewBridge on a daily basis.  Respite stays can also be a much appreciated convenience while visiting local family members. Our respite guests enjoy community living, three meals daily, programming and 24-hour support staff support.

Our respite residents receive the full package of amenities offered in our Assisted Living. This includes:

• Up to one hour of personal care assistance daily
• Certified Nursing Assistant staffing 24/7
• Nursing staff in the building 12 hours per day
• Weekly housekeeping and linen service
• 3 meals per day in the Meadow View restaurant
• Emergency response systems in each apartment
• All utilities, including cable TV
• Social programming 7 days per week
• A personalized service plan

Memory Care Assisted Living Respite

Respite is also offered in our Memory Care Assisted Living program for both potential residents as well as for short-term guests. Finding the right program for a loved one is a challenging and important process, so a respite stay is a good opportunity to try out a program without immediately committing to a full-time lease. A respite stay allows both family members and the resident to fully experience all aspects of our program; the staff, the programming, the environmental design and the care. For this purpose, we recommend at least a 2-4 week stay to accurately assess a potential resident's success in our program.

Caregivers can also choose a respite visit for their family member to refresh and recharge their own ability to provide good care. Guests enjoying a respite stay receive three meals per day, daily housekeeping and all utilities including cable TV. There is a four-day minimum requirement for a short-term respite visit.

Respite residents in memory care receive all of the amenities offered to our full-time residents:
