For this G Section cover story, Boston Globe health care writer Karen Weintraub attended a conference NewBridge Assisted Living hosted on the arts and dementia, and then observed several of the expressive art therapy sessions that run daily our Memory Care Assisted Living community.  “This music class at Hebrew Senior Life’s NewBridge on the Charles campus is what today’s cutting-edge Alzheimer’s treatment looks like,” she writes. In this Boston Globe feature article from  the Living Longer, Living Better section, NewBridge on the Charles residents Marion Sanders and Carol and Eldon Clingan were interviewed. The Lifestyle Magazine of the Boston Globe profiled Naomi Kliman, NewBridge on the Charles resident. Although Mrs. Kliman has Alzheimer's disease and lives on the Memory Care area of the NewBridge on the Charles Assisted Living community, she continues to play the piano and entertain. Dedham TV Working with NewBridge to Produce a Show on Aging Well
NewBridge on the Charles resident Ilene Turock was featured on for a series called “AgeWise” she is producing and hosting with Dedham TV on aging well. Of the series, Mrs. Turock says, “the challenge is not to live to 100, but how you live to 100.” Full story: Dedham TV Working with NewBridge to Produce Show on Aging Well

Dr. Ruth Westheimer was the innaugural speaker for HSL Indpendent Living Communities College of Retirment Living series in spring of 2011. She was interviewed and featured my many media outlets both locally and regionally.

Irving Backman says he has a plan to create thousands of jobs, save the environment – and combat the obesity epidemic among the nation’s children. Pretty ambitious for an 84-yearold retiree.
