Aline Russotto is the executive director of Orchard Cove, where she oversees the administration and operations of HSL’s award-winning continuing care retirement community in Canton. She has served in a variety of capacities at Orchard Cove for the past 12 years, most recently as associate executive director. She also led the creation of the successful Vitalize 360 program through which residents make lifestyle changes that lead not only to improved health, but a richer quality of life.
John Ralston is the director of culinary services. He focuses on enhancing our residents' quality of life by customizing the dining experience to reflect the tastes, sensibilities and values of this community. More than 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry -- nine years with Hilton, eight years with Marriott, and four years with Hyatt -- have provided John with a solid food and beverage background in customer service, as well as the banquet, bar, and catering arenas. He enjoys collaborating with residents to provide the highest level of satisfaction in their dining experiences. John works daily to engage the senses and nourish the bodies and souls of this community.
Dave Barthel joined the the Orchard Cove team prior to the opening of our community. His background spans 30 years in facilities management. Dave is responsible for the care of the facility and the many enhancements that continue to make Orchard Cove a beautiful place for our residents.
Diane Hoffmann is the Director of Member Services and oversees the programming for the Independent Living Unit, as well as all transportation provided at Orchard Cove. She loves working with the various resident committees to design and implement concerts, lectures, entertainment, classes, day trips, and special events to enhance the lifestyles of our residents. Diane's team also provides full-service transportation, allowing our residents to take part in off-campus activities at all times, including day, evening and weekend hours.
Katia Fearebay is the housekeeping manager and came to Orchard Cove with more than five years of experience in the hotel industry. Most recently, she held the position of housekeeping manager at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center. Katia takes pride in maintaining the highest possible standards for the cleanliness of Orchard Cove. Katia oversees Independent Living apartment cleaning, Assisted Living units, the Skilled Nursing floor, and common areas. She ensures all housekeeping activities are carried out professionally, to standards and at the highest level of service.
Michelle Rubinstein has been employed by Orchard Cove for more than six years. A registered nurse, she previously worked in the home-care industry and in acute care for many years. As Assistance-in-Living Unit resident coordinator, she coordinates and evaluates care needs, meets with families, and organizes support systems for residents. Michelle also acts as a liaison between the resident and wellness center.
Ruth Stark is the Hebrew SeniorLife Corporate Director of Marketing, Sales and Communications for Senior Living. She has been with HSL for 19 years, having previously served as the organization's Director of Corporate Communications. In her current role, she oversees the sale of independent living units at NBOC and Orchard Cove and is responsible for all marketing activities, member stewardship, community building and outreach to the community. She also serves a similar same role for HSL supportive housing communities, Center Communities of Brookline, Jack Satter House in Revere and Simon C. Fireman Community in Randolph. Prior to HSL, Ruth served as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. Ruth holds a Bachelor's Degree in Government from Boston University and a Masters Degree in Public Health (Magna Cum Laude) from Boston University Medical School.
Deb Symonds, R.N., has been the director of nursing at Orchard Cove since 2005. She is a graduate of Regis College and holds a master's in nursing administration and business management. She brings more than 30 years of nursing experience to Orchard Cove, including many years in a hospital setting. Deb enjoys working with her fabulous staff and taking every opportunity to enhance the lives of the residents who live in skilled nursing.
Ann Masterson, the Director of Health Care Services at Orchard Cove, brings her many years of health care leadership experience to her role of assisting in the delivery of high quality health care services on the campus of Orchard Cove. As a licensed nursing home administrator with over 25 years of experience in the senior services industry, Ann is responsible for overseeing the care delivery on the skilled nursing unit, the assistance in living unit and in the on-site outpatient clinic. Ann enjoys working with the entire Orchard Cove team to provide creative, resident centered services to all residents of the community.
Carole Johnson is the Director of Finance at Orchard Cove and oversees all of the Fiscal operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, accounting processes and resident financial approvals. She has been employed with HSL for more than 4 years, working in the corporate offices prior to coming to Orchard Cove. She is a CPA with more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, consulting and corporate accounting management. Her focus is maintaining the highest standards of financial reporting and control for Orchard Cove.
