Hebrew SeniorLife: Planned Giving

Planned Giving

Planned giving helps ensure the future of Hebrew SeniorLife while securing your own finances in ways tailored to your age, assets, and vision of giving.  With thoughtful planning, you create win-win solutions for yourself, your loved ones, and HSL.

By planning your estate and legacy, you can:

  • Give a personally significant gift to Hebrew SeniorLife
  • Save on gift and estate taxes
  • Reduce or avoind capital gains taxes
  • Pass assets on to family members at reduced tax costs
  • Receive income for life
  • Planned giving options include:

Donors can designate their bequest, also known as estate gifts, to Hebrew SeniorLife through a will or trust.

Life income gifts
Your life income gift is invested to pay you (or the person you name) income for life, then the gift principal is transferred to Hebrew SeniorLife to be used as you have directed.

Charitable lead trusts
A charitable lead trust can be used to transfer assets to children or others at a significanly reduced tax liability.  The tax savings from a charitable lead trust may allow you to provide significant support to HSL at little or no cost to your heirs.

Gifts of assets
There are many assets you may use to make planned gift to HSL including gifts of stocks, bonds, art, or real estate.

The Legacy Society
The Legacy Society recognizes the generosity of those who are helping to preserve and ensure a bright future for Hebrew SeniorLife by including the organization in their estate plans.

The Legacy Society at HSL was established to honor and recognize donors for making gifts in wills or revocable trusts, income-producing gifts, testamentary retirement account fund gifts, life insurance gifts, or real estate gifts that will benefit the future of our organization.  An annual luncheon is held to honor the members and inducts those who have not attended before.

However you choose to give, your gift makes a difference in the lives of seniors and we are deeply grateful to your for your kindness and generosity.  For more information, please contact:
