N341: Volunteers Wanted for Research Study:

Cognitive Reserve in an Aging Population, Suffolk University are seeking volunteers 65 yrs. Of age or older. This research study is seeking to further understand how certain life experiences relate to current thinking in an aging population. The cognitive reserve model supposes that the brain will attempt to compensate for challenges presented by brain injury, whether this impairment is due to the normal aging process or insult to the central nervous system (CNS). It is thought that certain life experiences might contribute to cognitive reserve. If you agree to participate, you will complete a series of questionnaires pertaining to how particular life experiences relate to current thinking in addition to a demographic questionnaire. You will also complete a cognitive task. All participants will be entered into a raffle. At the conclusion of the study five names will be drawn at random and five prizes of $100 each allocated.
