The success of the Jack Satter Community lies in its stimulating and supportive environment. Residents organize social, educational and recreational activities, cultural events and holiday celebrations together. An active Tenants Association, as well as informal networks among neighbors and friends, helps to create a strong sense of community. There are a wide variety of special programming and educational events that enhance the daily lives of our residents.
Our fitness center is staffed by a health and fitness specialist who provides group classes and personalized fitness programs including instruction on strength training and cardiovascular equipment. Special programs include a computer center, multigenerational activities, resident newsletter, lunch and coffee shop, and many different volunteer opportunities.
Staff members monitor the building 24 hours a day and respond quickly to medical and mechanical emergencies. A full-service dining program is available on-site. Residents requiring part-time nursing, home health aides, occupational, speech or physical therapy, counseling or homemaker services can make arrangements through the network of care offered by Hebrew SeniorLife or other regional agencies. A staff Resident Services Coordinator and Chaplain work with residents to meet their needs.
