Hebrew SeniorLife has transformed the biblical commandment of "Honor Thy Father and Thy Mother" into a promise of excellent care for seniors throughout the world.
We are pleased to offer a variety of ways to honor and remember all the special people and moments of your life. In honoring your loved ones, your gift will make it possible for Hebrew SeniorLife to continue to meet its commitment to excellence, today and tomorrow.
Our Memorial Tablets, covering the synagogue's entire rear wall, reflect the memory of the organization's family and friends. Each tablet is cast bronze and inscribed with the individual's name and date of death. Every plaque bears a small light, which is lit on the anniversary (based on the Hebrew calendar) of your loved one's death. This memorial also includes the Perpetual Yahrzeit Observance.
Perpetual Yahrzeit Observance
The Perpetual Yahrzeit Observance will memorialize your loved one during the week of the anniversary of his or her death with the recitation of the traditional memorial prayer. You will be notified of the Yahrzeit date by mail.
Sponsoring a Sabbath Kiddish in honor or in memory of someone special is a lovely way to mark a special occasion. Your sponsorship will be announced at services. Immediately following services, refreshments are enjoyed by the residents and guests who attend.
If a gift is in memory of an individual, please provide the individual's relationship to you and his or her Hebrew name and date of death, if available. Be sure to include your name, address and phone number, the name of the individual or event being honored or memorialized, and the name(s) of anyone you wish to be notified of your gift. Memorials may be reserved with prepayment.
