Hebrew SeniorLife Development

Women's Auxiliary

Fundraising to support programming
The Women's Auxiliary provides support to Hebrew SeniorLife through its fundraising activities. The Tribute Book, which solicits support from the Hebrew SeniorLife family, local businesses, and the community, is its major fundraiser. Special programs acknowledge donations made as memorials and in honor of individuals or couples. The Women's Auxiliary Gift Shop, with locations in the main lobby and on the B1 Level of Hebrew Rehabilitation Center, serves the residents, their families, RSU and MACU patients, and HRC staff, all while supporting the organization.

Service and community outreach
Enriching the lives of seniors both within Hebrew SeniorLife and throughout the community are important tenets of the Women's Auxiliary. Through educational programming, special activities, and membership promotions, new individuals are introduced to the organization. Hebrew Rehabilitation Center residents are served through combined Auxiliary Services and Recreation Therapy Department activities. Our resident funds provide welcome gifts and friendly visits to new residents of HRC, as well as holiday and birthday gifts to those without local family members.

Leadership development
Involvement in the Women's Auxiliary occurs at many levels. It may include committee work to help plan events, hands-on volunteering with Hebrew Rehabilitation Center residents, or simply supporting other Auxiliary Services programs with participation and/or financial commitment. Board members and committee volunteers benefit from ongoing leadership development while being a part of a caring community dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors everywhere.
