Hebrew Rehabilitation Center has more than 20 years of experience caring for seniors in adult day health programs. Our program, Great Days for Seniors, is offered at two locations:
The hallmark of our adult day health centers is the program atmosphere -- a social community where participants receive support, make friends, have a purpose, help others, learn new things, pursue favorite pastimes and have fun, highlighting their strengths and compensating for their deficits. The foundation of the program is our person-centered health care. We also strive to help participants improve in all 5 Dimensions of Wellness:
Nursing, social work, and therapeutic recreation professionals staff our adult day health programs. All staff have completed the Alzheimer’s Association Habilitation Training Certification program and provide person-centered care for people with memory loss. Physical, occupational and speech therapists provide treatment as needed when prescribed by a physician. Program assistants provide personal care and help with all aspects of a senior’s daily routine. Working as an interdisciplinary team, staff ensure that all aspects of a participants’ needs are addressed.
Family caregivers are also part of the day program communities. They benefit from the respite, support and education provided. Great Days for Seniors encourages family members to contact the program nurse and social service coordinator with any questions, updates or concerns.
