Biography

Jane Givens, M.D. is a geriatrician at Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Boston. She joined Hebrew SeniorLife in 2008. She received her Bachelor of Music from Boston University and her Master of Music from Temple University. She received her Master of Science from University of California, Berkeley Graduate School's UCB-UCSF joint medical program. Dr. Givens received her Master of Science in clinical epidemiology from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine and her Doctorate in Medicine from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. She completed both her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Boston Medical Center. She completed a physician –scientist fellowship in general internal medicine at the University Of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed a clinical fellowship in geriatric medicine at Boston Medical Center.

Dr. Givens maintains a clinical appointment at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and works for UpToDate as a Physician Editor, Primary Care. She is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine with added qualifications in geriatric medicine.
