Timothy Murtha, M.D. is a consulting ophthalmologist at Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Boston and in Dedham. He joined Hebrew SeniorLife in 1998. Dr. Murtha received both his Bachelor of Science from Cook College of Rutgers University, and his Doctor of Medicine from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Rutgers Medical School. He completed his internship in Medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital and his residency in Ophthalmology at State University of New York. He also completed his fellowship in Retina/Diabetes at Joslin Diabetes Center and Massachusetts Eye and Ear. Dr. Murtha is Board Certified in Ophthalmology. He has been on staff at Joslin Diabetes Center since 1990 and has also been a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School since 1990.
