Life at Orchard Cove offers many opportunities to enjoy a mutually beneficial relationship with a child or student who can learn from your life’s wisdom and experience. These young people bring liveliness and joy into our community, participating in art projects, sing-a-longs, games, and holiday celebrations. Our residents give back by volunteering their time reading to, tutoring, and supporting the students in a variety of ways.
Our community participates in a number of intergenerational programs with partners including the Canton Public Schools, Blue Hills Regional Vocational Technical School and Temple Kol Tikvah, and Temple Beth Israel in Needham, MA. Noah, featured in the video below, is a student volunteer who plays violin for our residents and shares his life’s hopes and dreams with them.
