Application Process

Learn more about how to apply for a subsidized apartment at Center Communities of Brookline.

Center Communities of Brookline offers both market rate and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) subsidized senior supportive housing. Anyone wishing to apply for subsidized units must complete the required paperwork and meet specific requirements.

Additional information about the application process and requirements are available in the application form.

As part of the application process, you will be required to provide for all household members:

  • A copy of your current Social Security monthly benefit letter, pension, and/or monthly annuity payments.
  • Documentation of assets (bank statements, 401ks, stocks, and bonds, etc.)
  • The last four copies of your paycheck, if you are still working.
  • Driver's license or state-issued I.D., Social Security card, most recent Social Security benefit letter, birth certificate, passport, or naturalization certificate.

Applicants will be considered on a first-received, first-reviewed basis. This is based on the date that the completed and signed application is received by management.

If you appear to qualify after we review your application, but before your information is formally verified, and a unit is not currently available, you will be placed on the waiting list. You will be informed of the approximate wait for a unit and notified by phone when your name comes to the top of the list.
