The success of Simon C. Fireman Community lies in its stimulating, supportive environment. Residents organize social, educational and recreational activities, cultural events and holiday celebrations. An active Senior Association, as well as informal networks among neighbors and friends, helps to create a sense of community.

Staff members monitor the building 24 hours a day and respond quickly to medical and mechanical emergencies. A full-service dining program is available on-site. Residents needing part-time nursing, home health aides, occupational, speech or physical therapy, counseling or homemaker services can make arrangements through the network of care offered by Hebrew SeniorLife or other regional agencies. A staff Social Worker and Chaplain work with residents to meet their needs.

At the heart of life at Simon C. Fireman Community is the sense of volunteerism that exists in the community. Whether it is working at the front desk, serving as a part of the Senior Association or planning food drives for needy families, resident volunteers contribute to the overall success and well-being of the community.
