Matthew Hollingshead, Executive Director

As Executive Director for NewBridge on the Charles, Matthew Hollingshead is responsible for creating and maintaining an exceptional living environment for independent living residents. He oversees activities, programming, services provided in the community center, food and beverage operations, and the physical maintenance of the campus. Matt originally joined Hebrew SeniorLife in 2016 as executive director of Assisted Living at NewBridge on the Charles. Under his leadership, the NewBridge on the Charles memory care program became locally renowned for its robust use of expressive therapies for care and support.

Rhonda Glyman, Executive Director, Assisted Living

Rhonda Glyman administers operations and directs efforts to implement plans and strategies in the Assisted Living and Independent Living communities at NewBridge on the Charles, Hebrew SeniorLife’s continuing care retirement community in Dedham, MA. From 2013 to 2021, she served as Executive Director of Hebrew SeniorLife’s Center Communities of Brookline supportive housing community. Prior to joining the CCB team, Rhonda served as Associate Executive Director at NewBridge on the Charles.
Rhonda has more than 40 years of management experience in the telecommunications, hospitality and health care industries. In addition, she served as project director for a $65 million, state-of-the-art educational campus, founded a national award-winning public/private educational partnership, and facilitated effective collaboration among Nevada’s top education, community, and corporate leaders to strengthen education for all students. Rhonda holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Fernando Rodrigues, Director of Facilities

Fernando is responsible for the management, operation, maintenance, and repair of the NewBridge on the Charles campus, including the exterior grounds, as well as the capital budget. Fernando has over 23 years of experience in facilities management, including six years of experience in health care facility management. Fernando most recently served in a senior facilities role at another continuing care retirement community. His career has included operations positions with Legal Sea Foods, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance, Beacon Management Company, and Procter & Gamble. Fernando is a United States Marine Corps veteran.

David Raider, Director of Community Life

David oversees the community life department, which is responsible for building community in the areas of programming, fitness, member services, and spiritual life. Having come to NewBridge on the Charles in 2009, David has more than 15 years of experience in the senior living industry, both in sales and marketing positions and as a regional director of the activity programs at over 40 assisted living communities in the Northeast. Prior to that, he worked in corporate team development for a company that specialized in experiential learning. David graduated from the hotel management program at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and worked for various Boston hotels before settling on the industry that is a perfect match for his skills.

Sheila Waxman, Director of Sales and Hebrew SeniorLife Internal Sales 

Sheila Waxman began her sales career with Hebrew SeniorLife in 2006, three years before the official opening of NewBridge on the Charles. She has led the independent and assisted living sales teams to maximum occupancy and continues to ensure excellent experiences for potential residents and their families. Sheila and her team work to understand changes in the senior living industry so that NewBridge on the Charles stays current with housing, programming, and healthcare initiatives. Prior to joining the NewBridge team, Sheila served as both director of resident services and director of marketing at Lasell Village in Auburndale and was the corporate director of programs for Cordia Senior Living, a division of Boston Financial, where she created programming for retirement communities in Massachusetts, Utah, and California.
