Batya Greene, LICSW, is a clinical social worker who joined Hebrew SeniorLife Hospice 10 years ago. Batya enjoyed watching the Hebrew SeniorLife Hospice thrive and grow from its early days into the vibrant organization has become. Batya came to Hebrew SeniorLife Hospice with extensive experience in home-based intervention programs and outpatient mental health settings, focusing on the needs of aging populations.
Her passion for working with seniors originates from her bonded relationships with her grandparents, who were instrumental in her upbringing and development. Batya assisted patients and families at Hebrew SeniorLife Hospice as they navigated the challenging and important end-of-life chapter, offering resource connections, education, counseling, and support. She greatly values the bereavement services offered through Hebrew SeniorLife Hospice and followed families closely for a year following loss, running bereavement groups and continuing visits and sessions with our wonderful families.
Batya is passionate about end-of-life education and empowering our hospice patients and families to have strong voices in their care. She joined her devoted Hebrew SeniorLife Hospice colleagues in spreading the word that hospice is about living your best life each day, focusing on what is most important, and directing your care based on your values and priorities.
