Physical Therapist

Catherine Stone, PT, DPT, GCS, has been practicing as a Doctor of Physical Therapy since 2011 in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She began her career at Hebrew SeniorLife in 2014 and has worked hard to grow the outpatient physical therapy clinic and its service lines over the last 10 years.  

As part of her commitment to providing high quality, evidence-based care to community seniors, she is continuously expanding her clinical knowledge, including obtaining certifications as a geriatric clinical specialist (2016), a LSVT-BIG instructor for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, a functional medicine health coach, and a Tai Ji Quan – Moving for Better Balance instructor. She has also completed extensive coursework via the Postural Restoration Institute.  

Additionally, Catherine presents annually on the topic of exercise prescription for the aging adult at Harvard Medical School's Annual Review of Geriatric Medicine and is a part-time lecturer for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Rhode Island in both the Geriatric Physical Therapy and Health Promotions courses.  

It is Catherine’s primary mission in her role as an outpatient physical therapist at Hebrew SeniorLife to empower patients to take a proactive approach to their health and offer support and resources to the community to help optimize the aging experience.
