Biography

Sarah Sjostrom is the Associate Chief Nursing Officer at Hebrew SeniorLife’s Hebrew Rehabilitation Center location at NewBridge on the Charles in Dedham, Mass. In this role, Sarah leads clinical teams on the campus and provides oversight for laboratory, biomedical engineering and spiritual care services across both the Dedham and Boston Hebrew Rehabilitation Center campuses.

Sarah joined Hebrew SeniorLife in 2010. Prior to being named as the Associate Chief Nursing Officer in 2017, she served as the Director of Nursing and Respiratory Care on the Medical Acute Care Unit where she was responsible for the overall quality of care delivery for patients with acute and chronic medical illness requiring complex medical care. Before working at Hebrew SeniorLife, Sarah conducted biological research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

She completed a Fellowship as part of the Next Generation Leaders Program with the American Hospital Association in 2022 and was a Schwartz Center National Compassionate Caregiver of the Year Nominee in 2016 earning an Honorable Mention. She holds several licenses and certifications and has been published in Cell, Developmental Cell, and Calcified Tissue International.
