New Affordable Apartments for Seniors, From a Community You Trust

Simon C. Fireman Community in Randolph, MA is growing! An expansion of the property will open in summer 2023, to include new apartments and community spaces. We’re eager to welcome more residents to the Fireman Community, which offers affordable housing with services so older adults can live their best lives.

One-Bedroom Apartments Coming Soon

The expansion will add 45 one-bedroom apartments to our existing 160-apartment community. Each apartment will include a full kitchen, energy-efficient heat and air conditioning controls, laminate flooring, and a 24-hour emergency call and check-in system. All units will have handrails in the bathroom, and sensory and mobility accessible units will be available.

Indoor and Outdoor Amenities

In addition to the apartments, the expansion will upgrade the existing outdoor space to create two courtyards with walking paths, exercise stations, and benches. Amenities shared by the entire community will include a multi-purpose room, a brand new fitness center, an art/game room, a deck overlooking the courtyard, a library, reading nooks, and a lounge.

The Fireman Community offers an onsite dining program with three free meals per week, and meals for purchase on two additional days. Other existing amenities include a grocery and goodies store, weekly banking services, and a hair salon.

Environmental Sustainability

The expansion is being built to Passive House standards for sustainability and energy efficiency. In addition to reducing our carbon footprint, residents will enjoy a comfortable air temperature in every season and a constant supply of healthy, fresh air. Solar panels on the roof will make the Fireman Community Hebrew SeniorLife’s first partially solar-powered community.
