Honor and remember the special people and moments in your life with a gift to Hebrew SeniorLife. Your donation will make it possible for us to go above and beyond in the care of seniors, every day.

You can make a gift to remember a loved one, or to recognize the care that a family member received at Hebrew Rehabilitation Center. Or, honor special occasions like birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings and anniversaries. We’ll notify the tribute recipient or his or her family of your thoughtful gift.

Make a tribute gift online using our secure form, or call us at 617-971-5791.

Be sure to include your name, address, phone number, name of the person or event being honored or memorialized and the name of anyone you wish to be notified of your gift.

Obituary Information

We deeply appreciate those who choose to direct donations to Hebrew SeniorLife to honor the life of a loved one. If you’d like to direct family and friends to make gifts in lieu of flowers, suggested wording for an obituary or other tribute is:

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in memory of {deceased name} to Hebrew SeniorLife, Development Department, 1200 Centre Street, Boston MA 02131 or via give.hebrewseniorlife.org/tribute

Please notify us at 617-971-5791 if you choose to include Hebrew SeniorLife in an obituary, or if you are requesting donations to Hebrew SeniorLife in lieu of gifts, so we can properly recognize and thank those who give.

Other Ways to Remember a Loved One

Memorial Tablets, located in the synagogue at our Boston campus, are cast in bronze and inscribed with the individual’s name and date of death. Every plaque bears a small light, which is lit on the anniversary of your loved one’s death (based on the Hebrew calendar).

The Perpetual Yahrzeit Observance will memorialize your loved one during the week of the anniversary of his or her death with the recitation of the traditional memorial prayer. You’ll be notified of the Yahrzeit date by mail.

To remember a loved one with a Memorial Tablet or Perpetual Yahrzeit Observance, please contact Elizabeth Mills at 617-971-5781.
