Lunder CareForce Institute

The Lunder CareForce Institute is transforming how we train, support, and launch the next generation of caregivers — creating opportunities for individuals, strengthening the health care workforce, and building a brighter future for us all.

Nurse aide students in a classroom

At Hebrew SeniorLife, we’ve been preparing the health care workforce for decades — training nurse aides, nurses, and other professionals to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. We offer students the opportunity to learn from experienced caregivers across a variety of real-world settings.

The Lunder CareForce Institute builds on this foundation, with a mission to transform how we recruit, train, and support the next generation of caregivers. We prepare students to thrive as skilled, compassionate nurse aides and create a robust pipeline for employers, strengthening the health care workforce.

And we’re just getting started. In the future, we plan to introduce a practical nurse program and other direct care workers — opening more doors to meaningful health care careers and helping meet the growing demand for skilled professionals.

Your Path to a Respected Health Care Career Starts Here

Whether you’re exploring your first job or looking for a new opportunity, this is your chance to build a stable, meaningful career with room to grow.

Why Choose the Lunder CareForce Institute?

  • Training that prepares you for the real world: We focus on more than just passing the exam — we train you to succeed on the job. Our hands-on training focuses on building the skills, confidence, and compassion you’ll need to thrive in real-world health care settings.
  • Career guidance from day one: We work closely with students from the start to help them explore job opportunities across our growing network of care providers and employers, including Hebrew SeniorLife.
  • Support for your whole journey: We understand that life can be complicated. If you’re facing challenges like balancing work and family, returning to school after time away, or improving your digital literacy or English, we’re here for you.
  • Thanks to employer partners, many of our students pay no tuition costs.
  • We’re part of Hebrew SeniorLife, a national nonprofit leader in senior living and health care. Hebrew SeniorLife is an affiliate of Harvard Medical School.

We meet you where you are, and help you take the next step.

For Employers and Health Care Partners

Partner with the Lunder CareForce Institute to help strengthen the future health care workforce.

We collaborate with skilled nursing facilities, senior care providers, and health care organizations to expand access to high-quality training and create real career pathways into health care. As a partner, you can:

  • Expand your talent pipeline: Attract workers by offering clear career pathways and opportunities for long-term growth.
  • Hire well-trained nurse aides: Gain access to graduates who are fully prepared to deliver compassionate, high-quality care.
  • Strengthen workforce stability: Support career development and mentorship from day one, improving retention and reducing turnover.
  • Retain skilled caregivers: Invest in employees who view caregiving as a meaningful, sustainable career.

We are seeking employer partners to collaborate on future training site expansions and to offer job opportunities to graduates. Together, we can meet the growing need for skilled caregivers — and improve care for older adults across our communities.

Support the Next Generation of Caregivers — and Those They Serve
