Age-Friendly Institute Recertifies Hebrew SeniorLife as an Age-Friendly Employer
Hebrew SeniorLife believes that creating an age-friendly workplace helps drive innovation, collaboration, and excellence in care.
Hebrew SeniorLife, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School and a national leader in senior care and research, has been recertified by the Age-Friendly Institute as an Age-Friendly Employer.
Hebrew SeniorLife first received this distinction in 2023 and has continued to strengthen its diverse workforce since then. This certification is issued based on an evaluation of employers’ human resource and management policies supporting people over 50. It also recognizes their commitment to providing meaningful employment, development opportunities, and competitive pay and benefits for employees over 50.
“At Hebrew SeniorLife, supporting workers of all ages isn’t just the right thing to do — it makes us a stronger, more effective organization,” said Hebrew SeniorLife Interim Director, Talent, HRBP & Employee Relations Kristen Quagliozzi. “By welcoming talent from the broadest pool of candidates, we not only find and retain the best employees, but we also benefit from the diverse perspectives, life experiences, and problem-solving skills that a multigenerational team brings.”
Hebrew SeniorLife believes that creating an age-friendly workplace helps drive innovation, collaboration, and excellence in care, while reflecting the values of respect and inclusivity that define the organization.
Recent initiatives include the launch of a quick apply option, which features a shorter application. Hebrew SeniorLife also offers an assisted application, where candidates can come in during drop-in hours and meet with a recruiter to help complete their full profile. Hebrew SeniorLife also recently established its Lunder CareForce Institute, which creates on-ramps for career changers with guaranteed clinical care job placement upon program completion.
