The shortage of frontline caregivers is one of the greatest challenges facing health care today. The Lunder CareForce Institute partners with skilled nursing facilities, post-acute care providers, acute care hospitals, and other health care organizations to build stronger, more stable care teams.

Whether you’re looking to improve retention, hire well-prepared nurse aides, or strengthen your workforce pipeline, we’re here to help.

One of the things that sets the Lunder CareForce Institute apart is its willingness to adapt to the needs of employers like Tufts Medicine. Lunder has worked closely with our nursing leadership to enhance its standard curriculum, ensuring acute care nursing assistants are better prepared for the realities of inpatient care."

System Director of Workforce Development, Tufts Medicine

The Lunder CareForce Institute offers a new approach to workforce development by combining recruitment, training, career coaching, and employer partnerships into a single model. Backed by Hebrew SeniorLife’s decades of experience training direct care workers and health care professionals, we work closely with employers to understand their workforce needs and prepare caregivers for success in their care settings.

  • Expand Your Talent Pipeline: CareForce directly recruits motivated individuals seeking meaningful careers and connects them with employer partners in our growing network. You’ll gain an additional reliable source of future caregivers while reducing the time and effort required to recruit new staff.
  • Save Time Interviewing While Retaining Hiring Control: As an employer partner, you’ll rely on us to screen and present candidates; then you decide who to admit and hire.
  • Onboard Job-Ready Nurse Aides: Our hands-on nurse aide training prepares students for success in real-world health care settings — not just certification. Graduates develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to provide compassionate, high-quality care from day one.
  • Improve Retention and Reduce Turnover: Finding great employees is only the beginning. We support students before, during, and after employment through career coaching and ongoing guidance, helping them build lasting careers in health care. The goal is greater workforce stability, lower turnover, and stronger care teams.

Trusted by Health Care Leaders

We believe the best workforce solutions are built together. That’s why we work closely with employers, listen to their needs, and adapt our programs when appropriate to prepare caregivers for the environments where they’ll work.

How We Add Value

CareForce adds to your talent acquisition process without replacing it. We recruit students and so do you; then we screen all candidates so you can save time choosing candidates to interview. Employers then choose who to admit and hire. Careforce provides training, and after they pass the certification exam, they go through your orientation process and begin employment. CareForce continues to support your employee with mentorship throughout their first year.

The Future of Workforce Development

Today’s nurse aide training program is only the beginning. The Lunder CareForce Institute plans to expand training through additional training-site partnerships, introduce a practical nurse program, and leverage technology to bring high-quality workforce development to more communities across Massachusetts and beyond. Together, we can help address the growing need for skilled caregivers while creating new pathways into rewarding health care careers.
